Who Provides Your Care?
Catalina In-Home Service’s reputation for quality is reflected in its caregivers and their character. Catalina is committed to a rigorous recruitment and screening process by interviewing each applicant - carefully checking all references through a thorough background investigation, and by testing skill levels. A comprehensive orientation program is required for each new employee, as well as required on-going education classes and annual skills testing.
Prior to employment, Catalina caregivers are professionally trained and/or certified by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. The majority of Catalina’s employees have worked at Catalina for more than five years and some for more than 21 years.
An appropriate caregiver is carefully selected for each client and is scheduled to provide care on a regular basis whenever possible. Caregivers are employees of Catalina which assumes responsibility for payroll and related taxes, benefits, liability insurance, workers’ compensation and scheduling and supervising in-home services.
Catalina takes pride in its in-home service model for providing support at home or for a short-term hospital stay. Catalina’s business practices are two-fold, focusing on the relationship between the caregiver and those they assist - nurturing and supporting the client’s health and well-being - and at the same time sustaining the caregivers in their work. The care provided by a caregiver empowers Catalina’s clients to live as well as possible in their homes, giving their families and loved ones peace of mind.
