Our Company

Our History

Catalina In-Home Services was founded by Judy Clinco in 1981 when she could not find in-home care for her aging mother. Drawing on her knowledge and skills as a professional RN, Judy developed Catalina based on the highest standards through selective hiring of employees, in-house training, continuing education, respect for the professional caregiver, and constant innovation.

Catalina rapidly earned the reputation as the premier provider of in-home care in the area. Nationally Catalina is recognized for innovation in personal care and support services, uncompromising standards, and service and commitment to excellence.

Catalina In-Home Services is a charter member of the National Private Duty Association (NPDA), dedicated to helping people find trusted and reliable home care providers.

In addition to hiring the best in-home personnel to ensure a professional level of quality services, Catalina has a deep commitment to the well-being of the client from the entire staff where employees are respectful of all clients, of family members and of each other.

Today, Catalina's high standards continue:
  1. Hire the best in-home staff
    The process involves:
    • References and background security checks
    • Written and demonstrated skills testing
    • In-depth orientation to company ethics and standards
    • Mandatory annual skills testing and continuing education

Catalina caregivers are professionally trained and/or certified by the Arizona State Board of Nursing and most have been employed for three or more years.
